Default Is the DPF the cat aswell?

I am looking at doing away with my rear box when I do a twin exit on my Signum CDTi.

Apart from the pre cat is the dpf also a cat too or is there another box under the car (I cant remember)?

I want to do away with some box's and the DPF but dont want it with no box's so its too loud.

On the estate, the DPF is combined with the cat, so I would think the Signum is the same.

Keep them both if you don't want extra smell and noise.

    Is it not true then?

I dont want loads of noise and as I am loosing the rear box I need to decide what parts to keep of the exhaust.

I will be getting the DPF mapped out but if its dpf and cat in one I will need to keep the precat.

Well, I trusted the word of the garage that took my DPF off.
Oh, and the device that sits between the turbo and DPF happens to be called the PRE-cat.
