Default Rolling Roads With no TC bypass switch.

After having the the VXPC remap today, Tony said he'd be interested in my rolling road results....so would I!

However I have TC (I proved that today) and no override switch. I've read that this is a problem on Rolling roads.

Is this so? and is there a way round it?

don't panic if the engine management comes on during or right after its been on the rollers. engines are too smart for their own good. it'll clear itself soon enough.

That works on some engines, but not all - although I think the 3.0CDTi is one it does work on. If I pull the TC/ABS on my 2.0T when the engine is off, it won't restart. If I do it when it's running the engine dies!

First RR I went on the operator said my car wouldn't run as the TC kept cutting in. So I had to get TC turned off by Tech 2 by a nearby dealer! Major pain in the a** as it also killed the ABS so I had no ABS until I got it turned back on again! So I did the same thing for subsequent RR days.

Most recent rolling road I was at I didn't have a chance to get to a dealer for the Tech 2 option. I found that all I (or the operator at Track 'n' Road who knew what he was doing!) needed to do was to slowly accelerate through the TC cutting in until it then cut out, then it stayed off all the way through the actual runs! Error light pops up on the dash, but all goes back to normal once you get off and drive for a short distance.

I now realise that the first operator was an a*rse who didn't know what he was doing, and given they comments by others on the day it seemed unanimous! lol It was a RR day by another forum BTW, before we started up.

Glad to hear all went well with 888...

I had the same problem... got traction control and no 'off' switch. However, still got it rolling roaded at Regal no problem... he just 'drove through' it ???

    I got 188.3 BHP and 282.3 lbft

Will be interesting to see how you get on with it..
