Default Smoke from exhaust after injector washer replaced..until disconnect sensor..

    Hi Guys,

Today I replaced the injector washer on my sri 1.9 cdti 150 vectra...it was no1 left hand side coil.

I got it all connected back and thankfully no ****ing out anymore but I am now getting black smoke from exhaust and its feels a bit rough and shaky to drive...when I have the car running if I disconnect injector 1 the smoke stops...

Does this mine the injector I changed is now screwed ? there was no black smoke before I changed just ****ing out carbon etc from the injector ???

Did you re-cut the injector seat? Or at least clean all the carbon etc off it?

It is possible that the new seal is not sealing properly.

Ok so after reading up I have realised that the copper washers have different sides 1 side is a very slight rounded edge and the other is completely flat... I did not know this so I have a few left over so will head back out first thing tomoz and check..

Also when I took the injector out I tried to find the old washer but could not see or grab it so I decided there wasnt one in there and stuck the new 1 in so there maybe 2 washers in and if the one I put in is the wrong way it means 2 round edges are together...

Is there a chance there was not a washer in or did I give up too easy ??

I would b surprised if there had not been a seal in there, sounds like you havent actually removed the old seal?

    As said above.

Sounds like you have 2 washers fitted and the injector is to far in the head and not igniting the fuel fully.
