    Default Urgent help wanted?

Got a new brake pedal switch as my abs light and brake pedal switch light is on. Doing it now. Does anyone know if I have to take the dash apart to get to it. I've searched the web but can't find any info. Signum 2.2

Yeah but it's a bit further up so thinking you have to take of the plastic cover below the steering wheel

Got to it in the end. Took old one out. Put a second hand one in that I got for free and still the brake light switch is on and tc light. Gonna buy a brand new one now and hopefully it will fix it. Is it a really common fault? An I just unlucky the other one didn't work or could there be another fault.

Get the ABS unit faults read out, that's the safest thing. If not, try starting the engine 3 times to see if it clears. Sometimes faults will show the EML, but after a few non-fault starts will stay logged as a historic fault but the EML will go off.

Ill give that a try cheers. I've read that faulty bulbs or bulbs on thier way out could also bring the check brake switch message. Is this true? If so would it turn on the tc light and make the cruise control stop working?

It could be any manner of things in all honesty. You really need to get the codes read or else you're pretty much stabbing in the dark unfortunately.
