    Default Y32SE Timing belt kit

Hi All. I collected my Gsi yesterday and although very impressed with it I do not have any receipted proof of a recent cambelt replacement. So no guessing what has moved up to the top of my to do list!! I see there are a number of replacement kits out there but wondered if anyone can advise of any brands to avoid or recommend (apart from oem). Thanks In Advance

Thanks all. After shopping around I found a gates kit on ebay through e-parts for £94 delivered. Let the fun and games begin. I've done a few 4 cyl ecotecs but will be popping my V6 cherry at the weekend so wish me luck LOL!

Good luck fella , I was fortunate enough to watch a "master in motion" @Critch carrying out a full service on my V6 a couple of weekends ago and I'm guessing it will be no mean task.

I would only use Vx genuine parts for the kit, waterpump etc etc, any minor saving to me wouldn't be worth the "chance" IMO, however, I hope you either have "trade club" or "masterfit scheme discount (25%)" off Vx parts before you go spending money ?

The masterfit scheme is free, just look for the threads and probably qualify for a cash freebie by registering, I'm not sure on the parts cost via tradeclub but it is definitely going to be cheaper than retail.

    Cheers

    Woody
