    Default Fitting front splitter, question

Got a genuine vauxhall front splitter all sprayed up and ready to fit, came with m3 tape fitted to the rear, question is what's the best thing to use to clean off previous coats of polish from the paintwork so the tape sticks well, any advice would be great cheers, mike

Any alcohol based cleaner should do it fella. Methylated spirit etc possibly even Vodka (not white spirit though as that is oily) or a damm good scrub with a good detergent.

It has provision to screw it either side which it will be but would rather use the tape across the front as if it ever gets damaged it would be easier to remove and then I'm back to a standard sri bumper,if I used tiger seal i'm thinking it would be a pig to get off

It won't stick properly with just the sticky pads and screws, You need to bond the splitter on, It tells you this on the instructions

If you have the Gm instructions, Have a quick read and it will tell you where to apply a bead of sealer just under the sticky tape.

So I assume the tape is just to hold it in place until the sealer goes off, will do bud :-)
