Default CDR2005 CD function now working

Got my CDR2005 cd function working

Basically the stereo just would not accept a cd. putting up cd error message on screen, so i bought another stereo for £14 without code.

I dismantled both units and swapped out the cd drive and it worked. Save me a little bit of money on another stereo etc

Cheers mate, wasn't sure if it would work thought the cd drive might have been coded with stereo, but obviously not. At least i can now listen to my cd's lol instead of radio. Going to do the aux in mod next and put 3.5mm jack port in arm rest.

No mate, it would be unlikely to be a component change that resulted in a need for coding considerations, just the main "board" if there is such a thing in that system . Good luck with the Aux In mod, and again, well done for a good show of initiative fella !

I might have a CDR2005 kicking around with a code if you want it.
