CAMBELT question

Is it hard to change a cambelt & water pump yourself? is it expensive to get done at the garage?

on a 1.9 CDTI (120)

Expensive at a garage, not too hard to do depending on it experience of DIY auto maintenance

How hard will depend on skills.

Its critical that its timed up again correctly

its not a massively expensive job

has a labour book time of 2.5 hours I think

the timing issue is abt scary

can be for a DIY'er (me included! and thats WITH a timing kit lol) but Antsss is that man for that, hes done a fair few of them for members on here

....and the difference with the 120's over the 150's is that you have to remove the cam belt pulley to get the water pump off of course.

Nahh - just an extra step that's all.. The rest is the same as the 150's. Done many and really not a problem.
