Default 16 faults on airbag system

well i bought the car as a repaired cat c well i thought i had found most problems but after seeing this it looks like i have alot more digging todo most im hoping are just unpluged and i need to replace ecu with a none crashed one

now i have been looking for the plug for the temp sensor for a while well i jut noticed this....

umm now is it me or have they wired the crash sensor into the temp sensor wiring? im guessing i will be fine unwiring it and wiring it back into the temp sensor then find the wires that should be wired to the crash sensor

That would certainly account for the B0084s!!

Did you find a Stetson and a Colt Peacemaker stashed in the car as well??? Looks like the last owner was a full on cowboy!

Most of those should be "not present" though, so you really should wipe them and see what it comes up with. My bets are that the SRS ECU will report crash data logged (B0051), the front crash sensor might still give B0084-81, especially if they've just lashed on whatever they could find, and you might have to have a look at the cluster to see if the SRS light has been interfered with.

You probably need a new SRS ECU (or get yours cleared, but 2nd hand tech2 cleared ones aren't massive money), possibly the correct crash sensor (if yours actually is incorrect) and to go over the dash with the finest of fine tooth combs! Make sure that there are actually airbags fitted behind it, for one!!

Go into actual data an see what it's reading ohms wise for each one

Try clear codes see what ones come back up.

Reset crash data to ensure its all fine

You have a crash code in there - that can only be reset by a Tech II/III - even my Genuine Vaux-Com cant clear crash codes I don't think...

Same advice as Critch and Antsssssss

clear all codes, see whats still active then repost with new findings, we cant tell from that really what is still active and what isnt. But as was stated all airbag circuit on data blocks should read less than 3ohm, it reaches about 2.5 or something and it flags a fault...

and get tech2 to clear the crash status as well.

and OMG just saw the crash sensor, that last guy must of tied his horse up before working on that one and then riding off... All airbag cabling is normally an orange colour... that would explain the incorrect EFS as well
