It is mate, but it's VERY fiddly. there's some soldering of very smal SMD's. You can get the kit from Ebay. The guy that supplies them is member YYSNET on here i think.

Thanks for the info. Had a good read up on here and looks like the soldering is the only way of doing it? My car is 56 sri cdti 120, from what I gather all the right bits weren't added until mid 07. Not sure i'm ready for the soldering bit but sure I can find someone who is! Becky. :-)

LOL @ fella/Becky . Sorry about that, but maybe you know someone handy with a soldering iron ?
I've got to say that some of the bits are so small, and so intolerant to heat abuse (through poor soldering skills) that I wasn't happy about doing my unit, BUT, like everything else, I'm sure there is someone not too far away that is an expert and can help

The trouble with retrofitting the wiring though is that the radio/headunit has to be updated with new software after the wiring work has been done. Not a difficult job, just another brick in the wall LOL.

You'll get there I'm sure. For those people who don't even realise that they have magic in their fingers, this kind of job is a piece of cake LOL, but that doesn't include me

Haha, don't worry. Not been on here long.....not sure how many girl's there'll be!

I definitely wouldn't want to tackle this myself. Was looking at Parrot 9200 but would be nice to have it hard wired. Software etc not an issue as I have a friend with Tech 2. It's just the soldering bit. Will have to see if anyone wants the challenge! Thanks :-)

Well again, I'm not a "teckie" fella, but it seems like wiring in a Parrot 9200 is quite easy. If that is all you intend to connect to the radio, then an "aux in" mod is really quite unnecessary, the Parrot takes care of everything ! (got one, got the tee shirt)

Adding a 9200 Parrot doesn't require an "aux in" mod to the radio. The Parrot allows you to connect an "aux in" from an iPod, MP3 Player, CD Card, or even a USB Memory stick. It also handles 2 mobiles connected at the same time (one disconnects while you take a call and reconnects right away afterwards) and also streaming from the phone ..... Brilliant bit of kit !
