    Default Inlet manifold clean

I have a 2.0dti Vectra C, which is constantly going into limp mode and throwing up fault P0100. I'd had a number of Mass Air Flow meters and a new EGR valve. I've checked all my hoses and vacuum pipes and all are present and correct.

I've cleaned out my boost sensor and EGR valve before but never the inlet manifold. I want to attempt to clean it out when next doing my EGR valve, but don't feel 100% sure about removing the fuel pipes. Don't suppose anyone wants to do it for me do they?

I've also been told about the MAF sensor earthing mod but have no idea where to start, which wire is the earth, where can I put the new earth to? Your help is appreciated.

Hi Bud ,they aren't too bad to do just a bit fiddley,if you disconnect them at the injectors and loosen them on the pump you can just get the manifold out with a bit of swearing. you will be amazed at the carbon that's inside the manifold if it hasn't been cleaned in a few years

its not the manifold thats bad to clean, its cleaning down the inlet tubes thats the hard part but i never see or hear of anyone doing that for some reason and its nuts!.

why clean the inlet ans swirl flaps yet leave the inlets choked up with carbon?
