hi guys just bought a second hand air bag ecu and i got these codes

    Part Number:13186947
    Software version number: 0C0D4B11
    Alpha code: KN

Total number of fault codes: 8

B0012 - Driver Airbag Squib Circuit (Stage1) High Resistance
    (0D) - Not present

B0013 - Driver Airbag Squib Circuit (Stage 2) High Resistance
    (0D) - Not present

B0015 - Driver Pretensioner Circuit High Resistance

B0019 - Passenger Airbag Squib Circuit (Stage1) High Resistance

tried to clear these with my op-com but wouldnt clear! can anyone tell me what these are and how they can be cleared? and you see from the rest of the codes they are not present only the squib circuits are present.so could it be my car or the car its been taken off? as i know the ecu locks after a crash and stores all the coded.

now send your original one off to be cleared or find somebody with Tech2 (and knows what they are doing with it, so forget the dealers) who can do it on the car..

Are your pretensioners activated? Sounds like you may also need to check that your airbags are actually installed. If you car has been in an accident before some so called repair places will fit a new dash but not fit new airbags, i have see this happen..

start at the beginning, why are you changing your airbag ECU to begin.. This system needs to be done right as your life depends on it

Hi the ecu wasn't in the car I expect the car had a crash before I bought it but not sure as wasn't told and not on v5. But have checked full system and all seems ok.the only thing confusing me is the squib circuits.

Pretty certain all SRS fault codes can only be cleared using legitimate Tech II equipment. Unlike 'non-safety system' faults that either clear themselves after a number of 'clean' starts, or can be cleared by 'computer based applications', code readers, or in some cases just by leaving the battery off for a while.

ok i think i misread the codes before, they should all clear except the crash data one which should be able to be clear with tech2,
