    Default Blanking Plate/Plates?

    Been searching and I'm confused.
Do I need both the square and the oval plate for my 150?
I've fitted the oval one with three holes in and it hasnt really made much differance EGR was not too dirty and moving freely.
    Anyone know please.
    Thanks

The ones with the holes will make no difference.

Are you noticing a lack of low down power? Only the full blank will make a difference if the EGR is at fault, but you will get the emissions light (unless mapped out).

Just the oval one will be ok.

Just to add to your confusion, I bought both square and oval, fitted the square one only and eventually gave the oval one to a member on here. Both seem to work fine with no faults showing, so long as your egr is mapped out.

Anyone know how much it costs just to have the egr mapped out?
    Thanks

I have been quoted £150 + vat to have the EGR valve physically removed and mapped out. My concern would be the impact on the DPF due to increased carbon deposits, leading to reduced life and extra cost to replace the DPF long term as this is now a servicable part. Unless of course you take the option to remove the DPF guts and remap the ECU as well.

Pretty sure my car does not have a DPF.
    I think its only Auto's and Siggy's ?
I wouldnt remove the EGR physically, just fit total blanking plates.
    Thanks Mick
