Default woo hoo! MOT passed, HIDS 'en all

4.3k hid kit fitted, all aligned with correct beam pattern

only advisory was a homemade hanger i made for the exhaust, he said there is absolutly nothing wrong with the hanger but as its not perminatly fixed to the exhaust (welded) he has to put it as an advisory, but he wouldnt bother doing anything more with it he said it was fine

    get in.....

    Glad to hear this...

My exhaust hangers all have broken off my system accross the centre section etc... Last weekend I took the old hangers off and reworked them (bent them into a u shape) so I could use jubilee clips to secure the exhaust...

    System is now solid...

Fingers crossed my MOT guy likes the work!

it was the 2 on the centre section that had gone, i had to swap it to the twin one i had off the 2.2 i was breaking, but the hangers were gone on it, so with the old exhaust that was blowing (but had good hangers lol), i cut 2" either side of the hangers with a grinder, sliced up through the middle so i had a half pipe with a hanger on it, shaped the half pipe so it fitted around the new exhaust, then clamped it to it with an exhaust clamp. obviously its not ideal, but i bet it lasts longer than the original hangers

I have LED ones with strobe.... But the car passed wit these last year...

Both my Vectra's are due... The wifes this month (being done on Friday) and mine next month (with a dodgy exhaust fix and knacked brakes)... Should both pass no problem ...!

cheers, it was only to be a temp car as we were looking for something newer, and needed something quick after the trouble we had with the 2.2 sri which we decided to break, but now in 2 minds what to do, its been fantastic for the 5 months we have had it, makes us wonder if its worth getting newer when this one runs fine
