Default i have a poorly signum

ok as the title say my signum is poorly it's a 2.2 direct

i have pluged it in and read the codes

i have p1191- fuel rail pressure sensor cirrcuit low input
    (5a) - present

i have looked on autodata and checked the voltages at the plug

    heres what autodata says

    pin 2 & earth at idle =1.6v
    pin 2 & earth at 3000k = 2v

    heres what i have got

    pin 2 & earth at idle = 1.63v

    pin2 & earth at 3000k =0.61v

to me that would mean the sensor is knackered

    does anyone else agree

Dont know if this may help, but im a renault mechanic, and the 2.0 ide engine uses a very similar if not the same continental direct injection system as the vectra 2.2 direct. Common problem with the ide engine is fuel pressure regs failing, even new ones have failed after a couple of weeks! Also the sensor and connections to it. The sensor terminals must match the colour terminals on the loom, some have silver some have gold. Also i have changed the odd pump. The regs are really poor quality even the new ones being supplied, as the vectra will probably use a similar reg. good luck with your diagnosis

so my signum is still poorly
i have fitted a new pressure sensor but it as not made any differance apart from it as stopped putting it in limp mode

i have checked the pressure reading for the pump i am getting betwween 4700 - 5200 kpa at idle and goes upto over 9000kpa at around 4-5000 rpm

the misfires if accelerated hard while standing still it feels like the limiter is on but it only at 3-4000rpm and it also misfires when driving if i accelerate hard
the engine light flashes when it does this while driving but not standing still

anyone got any ideas before i send it in

Ive had a few where its came up sensor but it was actually the reg causing it as it was under-pressurising and would flag a sensor fault up. Regs are really poor quality i had one fail after three days!
