What tyres for my 18's... (sizes & brands)

I fully recommend the updated version of the tyres Spoons did a review on a while back - Syron Race 1 Plus. Had these on the the car for a while now in 225/45/17 (SRi wheels) and they're brilliant. Quiet, cheap, really do stick and feel much more sure footed than the Neuton NT5000 that were on previously! Have them in your size too - this is where I got mine from.

Is someone tryed to fit 235/45 R18 on Vectra C? Colegue bought them for irmscher wheels (8J), I have original 7.5, I know that 235/40 can fit, but them are thinner than 225/45 and thinking to fit 235/45 too? Any advices?

I dont see why not... The 235 is the width and the 45 in the percentage of that width relative to the hight (side wall size) if memory serves me.

So should be fine.... You can fit 235 / 35 /19's on without issues and Im sure I read that people have fitted 20's before so would be supprised if they dont fit...

Today collegue put on his kit with Irmscher 8J+ 235/45- car startd to look like SUV- he has standart suspention

+ wheels are outside like with spacers- seems that sill painting will be often procedure

This may sound like a stupid question but would 225/40/18 tyres fit on my xp2 wheels which currently have 225/45/18 tyres fitted? Please go easy on me :-)

The best budget tyres are a WanLi or a Kwik Fit Arrowspeed, you get them from Motorway tyres and they wear well, hold the road ok and don't turn the car into a mobile fuel tanker,

The Nexen tyre is a pet hate of mine, dreadful in the wet in a rear wheel drive car, average life, and the real kicker is that Kia fit them as standard on their cars, you must avoid a Roadstone 2000 as well as it's the same tyre re-branded as the Nexen is.

i,m in the process of getting some irmy sportstars refurbed , i have been buying tyres for them , i plumped for 225/40/18
i like matched pairs so i bought a pair of avon zz3 ,and a pair of zz5,s , off ebay cost under 200 , all with at least 6 mm tread
there are some bargains to be had on there !
