can you hear any rattle from the DMF at idle
I noticed mine going on the last car when there we a change in noise when the clutch was depressed
Personally, I would stick with a DMF rather than converting to single mass as I think the single mass are heavier and have issues that go with them![]()
no rattle at idle. its smooth idling. mate said could hear noise when pressing clutch pedal; but when driving it bites really good no slipping or such as my 3 cars ago lost clutch so i remember how it felt before it went. so confused really as i thought theres plenty of life left in me car.
I wouldn't worry yourself too much about it for the time being mate but I know how it feels as it will be on your mind
its like stones in a can rattling mine burst at 65k mark (2009) , you will notice its two plates and when they come lose it rattles like mad.
Yeah once u worry about summat, it'll be on ur mind, thanks for telling me how u know it need doing, it now put me at rest knowing what to look out for. Different to single types, as once single is gone, its gone without warning apart from light clutch feel. Good that DMF will make a noise :-)
mines rattling atm I think
I thought it was ballast for hid come loose but checked and there fine
if I rev it a little noise goes away more like a knock though not sure how long it will last but need it to for as long as poss due to employment issues atm![]()
Mine never rattled on tickover, mine only rattled when you depress the clutch half way down.
i bought the full kit clutch and flywheel £510
