    Default Power steering level sensor

Just had the power steering faulty symbol come on the dash , had it plugged in at a mates and it sez power steering fluid level low. Well checked the fluid ,once id found that it was hidden under the wing and its full. A quick google comes up with they were loads of trouble and later models never had it , it looks to be a ***** to get at so can i just short out the switch at the plug , or do i leave it open circuit or what ? Had the car ten years now ,Elite model with everything on it i.e early one , and this is the first thing to go wrong with it ,****** rubbish,,,lol

    Default

You can actually access the sensor in the narrow gap between the headlamp and the top of the Power Steering Pump, unscrew and remove
If you cannot source a working second hand one, then simply TECH2 and program to ignore the sensor

    Default

    Mine unscrewed
On the first attempt I removed the edge of the bumper, but noticed on inspection I could actually see it in the gap
On the second attempt I found I was able to rotate the cap and remove it
I assume this was so that during servicing you can unscrew, push to the side, insert a pipe and syphon 200ml to topup, then screw the cap back on, all without having to remove the edge of the bumper
