    Hey guys,
ive been toying with the idea or getting a small air compressor for doing small paint jobs on cars and while looking i came across this

    http://www.amazon.co.uk/KMS-Airbrush...air+compressor

I dont know the first thing about this type of thing so would do you guys think?

I wont be spraying whole cars but just detail work and maybe wheels?

    Thanks for looking

From my experience that will not be anywhere near big enough to spray with, not even small parts and no way for wheels.

This is the kind of thing used to paint model aircraft and tanks etc (I make models, another of my vices).

It would be fine for interior parts or smaller trim pieces but you'd be there all day trying to paint panels or wheels.

It's more the "spray gun" rather than "airbrush" category you're looking for, for the bigger stuff.

That would be fine for painting model cars and small trims maybe but won't be any good for anything bigger

    Cheers guys,

I kinda thought it may be to small for paint jobs.My main intention was to paint my V grill and also the bumper strips along the side of the doors as they all have chips on them and given they are smallish parts i thought i might save myself a few quid and do it myself...im rubbish with rattle cans lol

Problem will also be getting the car paint from the suppliers thin enough to work in a small airbrush like those. even with the medium head setup you might struggle. check out Lidl - they occasionally have an air accessory set for maybe 20 bucks and my dad has used the spray gun in these kinda sets to paint range cooker sides and they turn out pretty decent!
