    Hi all,My gearbox went this morning,absollutly gutted.
    Whats involved replacing box?

    i think the subframe would need to be removed to gain access as the box cant be lifted out.............its gotta be dropped

    On the 1.8's with the f17 you only need to drop the N/S and slacken the bolts on the O/S to get the box out mate. makes it a darn sight easier to get the subframe back in place.

    i was actually thinking this too ewan.........coz thats all i done with my vec be when i put the new clutch in
