Default Y30 juddering under cruise, then died....again

Once again my y30 has disgraced itself..... Following the engine rebuild and initial starting issues earlier this year, yesterday we started to "misfire" under cruise in 5th and 6th, no problems under load or at idle, then started to judder accelerating away from junction and cut out. Now will not re-start, turns over fine but wont start. Scanned this morning by local independent mechanic but shows no codes whatsoever.....Thinking fuel issue, but don't know where to start AGAIN....Any body got any thoughts.......

Are you getting low pressure fuel?

That was one of my my thoughts, but I don't know how to check this without using my local dealer, who, to be frank is neither use nor ornament with this engine....and as the car currently refuses to start, they would have to recover. When the scv's went last year they showed a code relating to fuel rail pressures, but the codes where cleared last month following the re-build, and it currently shows no codes still....

Just as useless as a VX techician then with no mechanical exprience of this engine
Phone around and find a mechanic with experience of this engine or at least a diesel mechanic

If it is idling correctly and properly then the issue resides with the Fuel Pump
I assume after the SCV were replaced that the EMS was also updated
It should therefore be possible to monitor the fuel feed rates then, to determine where the issue now resides (pre or post Fuel Pump)

Thanks chaps. Unfortunately there is a total lack of expertise in my part of the world with this engine. And surely checking fuel pressure through the pump would all be reliant on the engine actually running to operate. As it won't start at the moment, that may cause an issue.....

Check fuel pressure output during start-up/cranking.

Battery charged and started fairly easily this morning, though idle really well struggled to rev, felt really rough. So, head back under bonnet to be meet by diesel stink and a fine mist emanating from under the fuel rail etc......Stripped out again. Getting good at this now down to fuel pump in under 45 mins.... The valley was about 1/2" deep in fuel and the pipe from the pump to the rail was just past finger tight and not correctly seated. After a few minutes of calling my self a f##kwit, all tightened up and put back together again. Started first turn, drove really well and smile returned. Even fixed the passenger window switch as I was in such a good mood.....
