    confused Fitting aftermarket headunit

Hi when fitting new head unit do you need to do anything to the original plastic surround? My new cage fits in but extremely tight I think will be a struggle to get actual head unit in aswell?! And if it does go in will it ever come out again??? Lol

Yes it is a double din unit but it seems the plastic surround is attached/part of the dash where buttons attach too?

I think you have to take out the cage of the factory head unit before fitting the new cage

You've taken the right cage out (the black one), but it looks like your double din cage is too big. There are usually 2 types, 130mm and 110mm (if memory serves). Most of the ones supplied with aftermarket headunits are the larger ones and are useless, you really need a proper double-din fitting kit, with a 110mm cage and mounting hardware to get everything fitted up securely.
