Default I opened my egr(z30dt, electrical part) pics inside.

Well, my egr said goodbye. And as I was sure the egr was/is busted, I thought let`s open it
So I took hacksaw and randomly started sawing And quess what, you can open the egr and clean it if you want to. Theres`s these electrical surfaces to clean as you can see from the pics mine was really dirty.
My main fault is progen contact pin (last pic). I did clue it back with superclue (yes, the electrical contact was there) and taped the egr back together. This was only for testing. But the result was amazing. My car was working like never before, no judder, no random autogear changes, pulling wonderfully etc.
My clue snapped off, so back to the drawing board I will get it fixed. Not going to buy new egr.....yet
But, your egr CAN BE DIRTY and not working as it should. My car didn`t have any warning messages before the snapped pin.

The part which has broken looks like a carbon brush.

You need to use something like Araldite to seal it back together. Iirc it's fuel and oil resistant so should cope pretty well under the bonnet.

It was merely a suggestion of an improved glue, as you said yours had failed. Other people may not know how to seal it back up effectively.

It has already been discussed that the EGR Valve on the Z30DT can be removed and cleaned
The assembly should actually come apart

However, the EGR Valve on the Y30DT cannot be cleaned, once it has failed that is the end of it
