got the astra j ( mk 6 ) gearstick last week before i went to grimsby but didnt fit it.

put a post up on here and was told the mk 6 hadnt been fitted to the vectra before.

so...........i bit the bullet and went and got one.

the actual shaft if the mirror image of the vectra c one, so it wouldnt fit.

went today and got another vectra gearstick, so i wasnt butchering mine.

the end result...............


so.............could this be the 1st time that its been done???

it was an ad on ebay.........i messaged the guy to see if it would fit, he replied that he didnt know.

i then saw that he was about 20 miles from me so i phoned the guy and he said i was welcome to come out and see it.

i went and saw that it didnt fit at all, but decided to take it coz i could strip it and use a vectra shaft.

got the vectra gearstick today.........had to cut it and grind flat parts to it as the vectra shaft is rounded.

dry fitted to make sure that it all fitted ok, then used the vectra gator....and the pics saw it all lol

Hmm am not keen on it tbh mate looks too tall rather have vxr one nice and short bit good job for trying it.

it actually sits lower than the standard vectra gearstick
