    Default 2.0 TDI temp sender plug

    This should be easy enough. How do you remove the above? I simply cant work it out and don't want to potentially damage it with excess force. I cant find an image of one at the moment but will take a photo tomorrow if I still cant find one.

    I have found an image here in brianjamesreed's Theromostat How 2. I hope he does not mind if I use his image?

    Temp sender plug is top right of center in the image below.

    Push plug inwards slightly then press down on tab.

    Thanks for the reply Critch. I feel like a right idiot for having to ask in the first place. It is not as if I am a kid or a stranger to working on cars. Yet despite all that I am still struggling. When you say "push plug inwards" is that downwards towards the sender? And "press down on the tab" do you mean squeeze it inwards or literally downwards towards the sender?

    I can't believe a plug is giving me so much grief but I just can't get my head round how it works.

    Yeah literally push it inwards towards the sender an then squeeze the tab.

    it will probably go just same with pair of long nose pliers

    i know your feeling tho mate. Sonetimes ya can be like wtf. And someone else just comes along and does it.

    can you get a closer pic tho. Just take make sure I'm not giving you dud info
