2.0t turbocharger not working?

hi, today i noticed that my turbo is not kicking on. and i don't hear any turbo's whistle on 2.0t signum can it be that vnt is faulty as whistle appearead just recently? Don't know how on this, but i had 1.9 tdi passat and when whistle become very noticeable (all the time i though that police or ambulance is coming behind me

) i dissasembled turbo and cleaned VNT afer that car was running fine again. Today i tried disconnect plug from vaccum which is on turbo and didn't see any diferance. 55reg facelift 117000 miles

Take the vacuum pipe that connects to the turbo and suck on it and see if the engine note changes if it does change the vacuum valve if not try changing the vacuum pipe to the dump valve.

it could be a boost leak or the diaphrame in the turbo has split

as above and you do not have a VNT turbo, thats for the 1.9cdti..

you have a Garrett GT2052 turbo, very basic. Check for boost leaks first and then check your boost solenoids.. after that you could be looking at some kind of wastegate failure

connected today my laptop and boost pressure was almost all the time 101kpa, just on 3000rev maybe 110kpa. it needs to blow to vacuum pipe to make any wastegate moves, but I can't blow such strong to make it moving. what if I connect 12v wires to vacuum?
