confused Top mount - picture request

Hi. Does any of you have a picture of a top mount for a Vectra C, please? I ask because I bought some on Saturday at Euro Car Parts. Supposedly they were what the system said were for my car. However, when I Google for pictures of a top mount for a Vectra C, I get two types: one that looks like a plate and one that looks like a rubber-skirted contraption. I don't know which I am supposed to have and don't want to get into the repair only to find out that I've got the wrong part. Cheers. Paul :-)

The rubber part is the bush that sits inside the metal plate.

@paulhb - Thank you! I'll be in touch. @Mark-R - I shall get a picture when I get home and post it. For the record, I am trying to cure the rattles and creaks from the front suspension. The creaks are the ARB bushes, I think. The rattles are the top bearings and I thought I'd replace the mounts for good measure in case they are or might be damaged. Cheers, both of you! Paul

From what I remember the Front Shock is assembled in this order (not my best picture description but should help) :-

    Shock-Absorber-1.jpg

So starting from the bottom, you have the strut then the sleeve mod followed by the spring.

What I have forgotton is a little spacer thing that goes between the spring and the bearing (black thing third from top). The spacer just slides up and down the strut central rod. Once all these are assembled you place the silver top plate on and compress the springs and tighten the nut up ontop

    Hope that helps

Not sure if the suspension differs between the V6 GSi and the CDTi.

I apologize as I should have mentioned that mine was a CDTi in the first place.......

    Sorry for the confusion gents
