    Default SRi discs and pads

Hi - looks like my 2008 CDTi SRi is in need of new front / rear discs and pads. I was just going to go for the standard items unless anyone has any better ideas - are the standard items perfectly adequate or there better alternatives.

    Thanks - J.

There's nothing different about your brakes due to the car being an SRi; the size of the brakes depends on which engine it has. As yours is a 4 cylinder diesel model, it has the smallest brake set up, so you can consider upgrading to one of the bigger sizes, for which you would need to change the pads, disks, calipers and carriers. Here are the various sizes:

Thanks - sorry, it's a 150bhp CDTi. I'm not after upgrading to a bigger size - just wondering if the standard pads / discs are adequate. Or whether there are better items I could spend my money on.

The Pagid stuff from Eurocarparts are very good OEM items, can get them for decent prices too with the various discounts they have.

Yep, the standard Vx discs + pads kits are fine.... sold per axle (ie 2 discs + 4 pads per kit) and last time I looked the retail was around the £80 per kit mark.

Great thanks - I'll stick with the standard items then and save a bit of hassle.
