There's a little bit of info on this German site: http://www.motor-talk.de/forum/einba...k-t761006.html

Also, this seems to be a pretty comprehensive How2 list for loads of infotainment stuff: http://www.motor-talk.de/forum/-tut-...5-t763568.html

And: http://www.motor-talk.de/forum/aktio...7241&ajax=true seems to be a pinout of the Telematic box

(Google for "NCDC 2015 Telematik" and you'll get loads more info, also use Google Chrome to view those and you can get them translated automatically into semi-coherent English)

From what I can work out via that German site, it should be as follows:

32 pin connector plus a co-ax GSM antenna connector on the back of the unit. 32pin pinout is as follows

    Pin 1 - Microphone signal
Pin 2 - Shielding (assuming for the microphone wires)
    Pin 3 - Handset connector pin 3
Pin 4 - Nav system control line pin 35
Pin 5 - Nav system control line pin 36
    Pin 6, 7, 8, 9, 10 - Not connected
Pin 11 - Medium Speed CAN - High (nav system pin 32)
    Pin 12, 13, 14 - Not connected
    Pin 15 - +12v constant voltage FI1, 20A
    Pin 16 - +12v constant voltage FI1, 20A
    Pin 17 - Microphone signal
    Pin 18 - Handset connector pin 1
    Pin 19 - Shielding - Handset pin 4
Pin 20 - Nav system (Antenna Amplifier - looks like Navi Pin 7)
    Pin 21 - Handset connector pin 5
    Pin 22, 23, 24 - Not connected
Pin 25 - Airbag ECU pin 15 (looks like an airbag deployed signal)
    Pin 26 - Diagnostic port - pin 8
Pin 27 - Medium speed CAN - Low (nav system pin 33)
    Pin 28, 29, 30 - Not connected
    Pin 31 - Ground
    Pin 32 - Ground

As it connects to the airbag system, you must have balls the size of planets to be considering it! I'd certainly not!

It's also fair to say that I'm taking no responsibility for the accuracy of this, and if it all goes pop in a ball of fiery crap - you're on your own! Use at your own risk!

Would connecting to the airbag system to get the deployed signal have anything to do with initiating an emergency call ?

I'd assume so, kinda like OnStar in the USA. It also gets GPS information from the nav system, so that would lend a bit of credence to that line of inquiry as well.

Its onstar in Europe, in event of a crash it phones emergency services and gives them location. I know someone who made my loom on another forum. Pm me for details.
