Towing a car trailer with a Signum?

Can a Signum safely (And legally) tow a car trailer with a car on?

Whats the limit?

Does kurb weight come into it? Also check ur licence covers u to tow more than 750kgs think people who passed after 97 can't unless they take the added test

It's to do with weight.

Dont know yet lol

A few friends have asked for cheap cars and seen a few that need repair (Head gasket, cambelt snapped etc) but the cost to recover them rules them out.

Quite like the idea of buying and repairing a few cars

According to Parkers its:

Unbraked Towing Weight	750 kg
Braked Towing Weight	1600 kg

Does that inc the weight of the trailer?

Yes that includes the weight of the trailer too.

Unless you are planning on only picking up realluy small cars like Mini's, then I doubt the Signum has the towing capability.

You would nrmally need a large 4X4 or even a big ransit type van.

Small to medium cars probably.

A trailer would be about 500kg and Saxo's, MG TF's Citroen C3's are all under 1100kg so not just limited to mini's lol
