I have not come across anybody on here who has fitted a decat pipe and I have never come across anybody who makes a decat pipe. With a decat on a petrol you have 98% chance of failing your emissions test and therefore your MOT and helping lots of kiddies like my daughter develop illnesses like asthma.

To have a special decat pipe made would cost enough on its own, an off the shelf 100cpi sportscat downpipe will set you back about £500. Signumboy got hold of a vectra vxr cat and had it made/fitted into a bespoke 3" downpipe for his Z20NET but i don't know how much it cost him. Not every place has the tools to do mandrel bends with 3" stainless, some who can't will weld one up like a frankenstein pipe that will hinder gas flow. It must be sweeping curves otherwise its a waste of time and money.

Many places will not sell or make you a 100cpi pipe but will do a 200cpi cat, you will need to speak with several places to get prices. They may even make you a decat pipe i don't know as i would never ask for such a thing for a car i own.

When all is said and done and you have spent months fannying about trying to save a money and probably ending up with a kak product you may as well just buy a well made tried and test downpipe that will pass an MOT..

Would it be worth buying the down pipe and getting a 200 cell welded on
