    Default Lowering question.

    Morning all.
i have a preface vectra c sxi with 18" wheels, I have been told that the best drop is 40/45.
Would you say this is correct?
And was just wondering would it be best to get ccoilovers rather than springs?
Coz if I got springs I would have to get upgraded shockers aswell wouldn't i?

also any pics of your lowered vectra would be a big help.

Get H and Rs, perfect stance but still practical. My Irmschers (Eibachs) broke - coil ends are too thin. And I'm still on the original standard shocks at 135,000 miles and everything still in control.

What Andrew said above, H&R springs will be perfect, are stronger than eibachs (my eibachs broke too!) and look better fitted too..

The H and Rs lower by 40mm. Here's my car on Irmschers - the same as Eibachs:

    and on H and Rs:

Sorry about the second photo. It was just after I'd fitted them and it was getting dark and taken with my phone. I think they've settled very slightly since then but I find it a perfect look and is still every-day-driveable.
