Default Korea! Should we be worried!!!

    Was reading this artical, http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/arti...st_read_module

And i got to admit it is kind off scary! Could we be on the brink of the first Nuclear war? I mean seriously think about it they live in a dictatorship and when you look at the pictures they all seem fuelled enough by the bull crap propaganda there being fed, and we all know hw America loves war and dragging us into it, the koreans seem pretty intent on Firing off there nuclear weapons!

According to all western "propaganda" media... Yes.

In real life, we only need to be afraid of America, there like that one friend that goes round ****ing everyone over, but won't you because your friendship is different, then you just know if something big went down, you'd get ****ed over...

Korea might have a nuclear program, but they don't have nuclear weapons. Most of the country is in abject poverty. It's quite hilarious when you read up on what the population is told to believe about it's leaders, especially the departed Kim Jong Il. His birth story makes me giggle every time I read it...

The North Koreans have WMD's with the potential to just about reach Alaska, so I doubt the the Americans are really worried either. TBH China, believe it or not, will not let the North Koreans attack the US. IMO The North Korean Politicians are only trying to impress their people, no one else.

It's a difficult subject to discuss when there are so many elements involved - the policital side, the economic side, reporting/propaganda both in NK and the rest of the world, realistic weapon capabilities on both sides, alliances on both sides and who might reasonably be drawn into a NK/SK conflict.... the list goes on.

We could also run through countless scenarios and possible sequences of events - US takes out NK launch sites by precision strikes, NK attacks SK in reprisal, US supports SK forces, UN mandates against NK, multinational forces support SK, Communist forces back NK.... etc, etc. The reality of the situation however, as any all us ex-forces could tell is that what makes it to the media is only a fraction of what's really happening and even then the media will 'adjust' the presentation of that story in order to benefit their own sales.

Back on track though - Should we be worried? We're still at the 'sabre rattling' stage and there's a long way to go before someone chucks a bucket of instant sunshine. No worrying required just yet folks.

They're trying to blackmail the US into giving them more aid for their starving people and to have the economic sanctions eased. No matter how mad Kim Jong Un is, even he knows that the US could wipe his country off the face of the earth before lunchtime.
