For the money check out Nexen N8000 they are on mine and I think they are the best budget tyre at the money and even compared to far more expensive tyres a great performer. I was interested in the Accelera Alpha till I read the reviews

I've had them few times and can't fault them tbh and all that rubbish about bad grip in snow ... Well get winter tyres yeah ? U not wearing flip flops when is snowing outside , bottom line is u buying budget tyre so don't expect Pirelli performance for half the price

    Vehicle : Vauxhall Astra-J

    Trim : Elite

    Engine : 2.0 CDTi

    Year : 2013

The garage where my dad bought his Astra estate fitted Accellera tyres to the front when I observed the Bridgestones were below 3mm (a network-q car should have tyres changed if below 3mm). At the time of purchase we shook hands on new Bridgestones being fitted.

Anyway they wrongly fitted Accelleras and it wasn't until a couple of days later after buying it that we noticed. I have to say when I drove the car the handling was awful. Phone call to the garage to complain and the salesman agreed to swap them for Bridgestones after asking to speak to his manager about it.

In short, the Accelleras were rubbish.

I see your size is 215/50/17. Why not change to the cheaper alternate size of 225/45/17 and get yourself some decent tyres with the saving?

someone has fitted 225/50/17 to my car , I am due a couple of new tyres so am planning to go 225/45 as there is a big difference in pricing , can get a pair of barum at national tyres for about 150 quid , where 215/50 are about 100 quid each .
