Smoking From Engine - CDTi 150

Looks like its coming from the left hand side of the turbo heat sheild and looks like a bit of carbon on the outside of one of the lower pipes that enters there... I thought it was EGR cooler side till I noticed the carbon deposits...

Cars running mint however, no issues... Is there anything that's prone in this area, its an 04 with just over 100k

Might be some little gremlins smoking some grass?? On a more serious note, I haven't got a clue! ! !

Split intercooler pipe ?

Wouldn't that effect performance? Or maybe I'm too used to me 2.2 so anything feels faster lol

The manifolds can crack, that would usually slow spool.

Dont be too sure on the engine smoking,the exhaust flexi is streight below the engine and from sat in the car you really cant tell noise wise if its blowing,its a common part to go, ive changed mine twice
