ncdc 2013

hi all
i brought a cheap ncdc 2013 of ebay the other day

had it come today

while i had got 5 min i pluged it in
it comes on and the cd changer and radio all work with no problems but the screen dosn't look like the one i put in a freinds car his had a picture of a satalite to the left hand side but mine does not

the headunit did not come with the screen i am using the one that came in my car

are all gid's compatable with sat nav

AFAIK mate, they are. However you won't get the full map display unless it is displayed on a CID screen.

There are only a few GID's that are compatible with NCDC range, there was a post somewhere with ident codes. You will need a compatible screen and tech2 to pair them together, hope you have the security code for radio?

I was assuming that the Satnav is working with the display as the OP didn't say otherwise.

If he had a ncdc nav in his car before, then he would need to pair radio and screen together. If the radio before wasn't a navi unit then he will need a compatible GID paired to headunit.

I just re-read the original post.

It seems the OP has a working pair.

I'm pretty sure without the paired screen or the cars security pass the unit you have will only work as it does now unfortunately...

It will work but will beep and flash up Radio safe every couple of minutes. I assume he's just plugged it in to try and taken it back out. If left it will constantly beeb and flash, as the screen and radio need coded together.

Just my opinion as I was probably the first on here to retrofit a NCDC into a non navi 2.0 dti ls, and I researched for months before actually having the balls to add and change wiring.
