How do you rate this product?

I used it a while back and all I got was a "tiny" amount of white smoke. Ok ok I completely forgot to get the engine up to temperature but shouldn't make much difference!

I find blanking the EGR a better fix for carbon deposits, or should I say a preventative measure

I have just tried 10k boost DPF cleaner in my car (which does not have a DPF!) and it made a massive difference to power! It was a bit of an experiment that deffo worked!

Its called 10k boost power restorer. I went into Halfords (letchworth) had a look on the shelf for the 10k boost and couldnt find it, so I went to the parts desk at the back of the shop and asked if they stock it and thats where they had it, behind the desk

I used this stuff yesterday and I did not get the plumes of smoke coming from the exhaust. A little more than normal came out this mornig when i went for drive but nothing to write home about. perfromance wise, i think the the acceleration is a bit smoother but maybe thats me being optamistic and trying to find my 10 noets worth . Maybe I didnt get the expected plumes of smoke because most my driving is on the motorway and all the crap gets blown out the exhaust then.

I'm going to try some on my missus's peugeot 206 1.4hdi as this never sees the motorway and is runing very sluggish and groggy.

I shall keep you posted on the results

Ok just to shed a little light on the 10k boost thing...and wynn's etc etc.....they all have one thing in common! they are all kerosene based which is basically jet airline fuel, makes interesting reading on what it does to carbon deposits and the like !

I've got a 50 litre drum of kerosene in my garage - used to run my Astra 1.7 diesel on it - but never put it in the Vectra - wonder if its worth putting a bit in the fuel tank

lol... kerosene as used in jet aircraft is basically low grade paraffin (26 pence a litre!), it burns at a much lower temperature (higher cetane level??) with more ferocity but apparently it has a resounding effect on carbon deposits (a catalyst!) or in the case of a jet engine there isnt any!
I can confirm this as I am an airline fleet engine repair diagnostic Radiologist concerned with assessing the integrity of the main combuster and moving parts and I have never seen any carbon of any sort to speak of, we just get the usual debris erosion caused by sand in the atmosphere, the only part we have to junk on service time is the exhaust because of the extreme heat, the rest we usually re heat shield coat and replace the odd few turbine blades.
