Default Urgent Help - Wet Boot

    Hi All,

I sent to have a wet boot inside!! I had it a while back, but after putting some silicone around the aerial base and around my rear lights it wet away. It was getting to the stage where the spare wheel was was filling with water. I punched holes in the rubber groments to help drain the water and then covered the spare wheel with black rubbish stacks.

So this time, I put some more silicone around the aerial base and checked around the lights. Not all of the carpet is wet, just towards the front to the left. The parcel shelf is dry, no water is coming up from the spare wheel and I can't see where it is coming from! I have even put some silicone along the bottom of the rear window.

Where is the water coming from to make the boot wet? What can I do to stop it?

    Thanks in advance

    Carl

mine had a paddling pool under the back seat ( parks on a hill ) so this leak would normally have ended up under the spare wheel , after a quick google & a bit of investigation I traced it back to the rear clip that holds the gutter trim to the roof .
remove the gutter rail & check the rear clip ( riveted in place ) to make sure it is secure , if not then this will be the source of the leak , new clip was less than 2 quid from the dealer .

remove the gutter rail from the roof & you will see the clip near the back of the roof , I am not going to remove my gutter rail unless I really have to as it might end up loosening the clip & the leak starting again .
