Default Help needed to fit front fog light to LS

    Hi All

I have a 2003 LS 2.0 DTI i have searched but cannot find full answer to what i need.

I have fitted original front bumper original with fog lights and also the twin fog light switch the loom was all in place so just had to plug it all in.
The problem is that they do not work I have an op com and have been able to make the green fog light come on but am unable to get the fog lights to come on. I have read by some posts that you have to fit a fuse and relay and some have said that there is none to be fitted as it works of the cam bus system.
Can anybody tell me what I am doing wrong am I missing anything someone did say that the ecu may have to be changed.
I can get any parts that are needed as friend has a breakers and tec 2

I have done this retrofit to my LS. You need to find a UEC(underbonnet Electrical Centre) fuse box from a half can Vectra that already has front foglights fitted. There is a separate module on the inside of the underside of the fusebox. Then you can activate them via opcom. But be awaire you may also have to find someone to activate them in the BCM(Body Control Module) using genuine Tech2, as OpCom can not do the BCM.

The UEC is Dated on the side, anything before 06/04 should be half can. I got one straight out of a 52 plate Elegance which had front foglights fitted. Its not the module you need its the whole front Fusebox.
Here is a picture, with codes, for the one I got that worked.

    It will be half-Can, as it's a 2003 model.

All you need is the actual foglight loom which connects to the fuse box between the radiator and the NS headlight. No the fusebox is easy to change. Disconnect the battery earth, the live feed that goes to the fusebox and the 5 torx bolts that hold the fuse box down. Just push the 3 middle torx bolts through to pop the electrical multi plugs off and its free.

Yes that connects to the loom, nothing else needs adding wiring wise.

    Das

Sorry for being thick but are you saying that the loom that i have connected the fog light to is not connected to the fuse box that is presently in my car and I need another loom from the new fuse box to that plug.

    Hope I am making sense
