parking in York

i wasnt really sure where to put this, please move if needed.

it is car related tho. we are possibly heading up to york for a weekend soon and i wondered about parking in York, ideally the town centre.

my issue is that the estate is a big car and some car parks seem to have been designed for only smart cars!
is there a good car park maybe one most people dont know about that is easy to get into/out of etc and ideally doesnt cost a fortune lol.

Theres a park and ride on the outskirts that would be better than in the town centre it self

I normally park up near the yorvik centre and boots. Its not cheap, but I never had any problems parking my vec in any of the car parks in York.

There is a car park hidden beside Monks Gate, just outside the Wall. Guess it depends where you are staying and if the hotel has its own parking arrangements?

the place we are staying isnt far from the town tbh, 1.5 hours walk it says so if its nice we may do that tbh but always good to have other options.

its 4 miles irc which is quite close, which google says is a 1,.5 hour walk.
