Well i guess i'm a bit of a dinosaur when it comes to technical stuff ...
Can somebody expand on the abbreviations of parts that come up in conversations ie. BID TID CIM etc plus any more

CIM = Column Interface Module
TID = Triple Info Display
GID = Graphical Info Display
CID = Colour Info Display
BID = Board Info Display
BCM = Body Control Module
DDM = Drivers Door Module
PDM = Passenger Door Module
ECC = Electronic Climate Control (dual zone aircon)
the list goes on and on.... any more you need ?

REC = Rear Electrical Centre (rear fusebox)
UEC = Underhood Electric Centre (fusebox in the engine bay)
CEL = Check Engine Light (also called MIL)
ECU = Electronic Control Unit
EGR = Exhaust Gas Recirculation
FPR = Fuel Pump regulator
LSD = Limited Slip Differential
MAF = Mass Airflow
MAP = Manifold Absolute Pressure
ODB = OnBoard Diagnostics
ODB II = OnBoard Diagnostics, generation 2
EODB = Enhanced OnBoard Diagnostics
CABV = Charge Air Bypass Valve..
TPMS = Tyre Pressure Monitoring System
TPS = Throttle Position Sensor
and my favourite WOT = Wide open Throttle (pedal to metal, foot to floor)

MIL = Malfunction Indicator Light (Nige used the acronym!)
Will admit, I always thought FPR was Fuel Pressure Regulator myself?
could be, i guess it depends on whether you get it from Opel or GM in yankieland
Ah, I was wondering what all the '*ID's were lol, so that's good! Still don't know what's different between a bid and gid though? Surely both are graphic and show board info? :s
