Default Electric folding wing mirrors and self dimming rear view mirror - Help please

    Hi

I have a vec 08plate sri and I am thinking of these two mods but questions are....
    Auto dimming mirror
Is the wiring harness already there and will it just need pluging in or will |I need to add any special wiring loom

    Folding wing mirrors
Are there vauxhall ones or after market bits
Again is there any loom additions needed
    Are they also heated mirrors

    AND
Should mine be heated in an sri spec of this year - pretty sure mine arn't!!

    Thanks in advance
    Shaun

Doubtful if the loom is already there for the dimming mirror, but its just plug and play.

Yes VX Folding mirrors, a set just sold in the parts section for £200

Yes mirrors are heated, press the rear demister switch to operate them.

When you say plug and play for the dimming mirror does that means it needs a small wiring loom that will just plug in to the existing loom, if so where does it go to, one end to the mirror but where does the other end go to

With regards to the folding mirrors if you get the full kit what do you have to replace and does it all plug in to the existing loom.

And i suppose the important question is after each of those have been fitted do they need programming in to the car as well

    Thanks
    Shaun

Other end plugs into the rear fuse box. There is a how2.

You need to replace the door loom, the door modules and the door mirrors, then it all needs activating via Tech2.

Normally u don't need to replace door loom.....
set that got sold on for sale section was out from half can car so modules won't have comfort closing folding , they will fold using switch not remote key.
