fault code u2105/u2139

hi can anyone help !!!!
warning light for power steering on diagnosis brings up two codes u2105 no communication with ecu and u2139 no communication with steering column not sure where to start. needs resolving to get car through MOT !!!!!!

I fixed all my faults, steering and Airbag for the MOT, only to be told that the new requirements are not yet being enforced and they would have passed it even with the lights on.

Start by checking the wiring at the steering sensor is not damaged, thats what mine was.
