Removing a towbar

Hi guys, on this car ive bought it has a detachable towbar. Ive heard that some of the bumpers have a crash plate or something behind which is sometimes removed to fit the towbar?? Is this correct?
Is it easy enough to remove?
I assume the bumper will have to come off.
I did ask pentagon but as usual they wouldn't do it for nothing so told them to forget it. Its not a major issue but il have no use for it so will look at removing it in the future.

the crash bar doesnt have to be removed or modded to fit the factory/westfalia removable bar, and it shouldnt have ti will any other and tbh if its removable why do you want rid of it? if its the factory one it is completely hidden when removed and can be very very useful to have, ide be lost without my removable bar
