Vortex socket, I think it's 22mm from memory but double check.

Thanks Ian your a star, since I hit the pothole I have had this annoying like metal scrapping like squeak I have had 2 garages look and one was even a Volkswagen wagon dealer and they both said they could not see any damage one even said they took it out and couldn't hear a squeak which I was took a back by since then I have replaced inner/outer track rods and even changed rear drop links and front/rear arb bushes to powerflex ones and I must admit squeak is still there but only over rough ground and speed bumps and only on drivers side front which what took the brunt of the pot hole could this be a top mount bearing

I'm closer, I have a trolley jack, wheel ramps and a fair amount of tools and a Facelift Haynes manual. Got a lot on till 7th April and in big trouble with GP this week for a 180/97 BP reading. Got to wear a 24hr monitor so he can see what's going on.
Mobility is a problem for me, as you know, but if it's just the tools you need we could come over.

Paul I am in Manchester the 9th and 10th April and am driving I could bring the tools necessary but need to borrow some spring compressors but that should be easy enough, I also have a couple of spare top mounts you could try before you spend a fortune replacing parts if the suits?
