    Default 314mm upgrade

Just purchased a set of 314mm calipers, going to also fit new discs and pads, would anyone recommend braided hose lines, do they really make any difference.?

Also are any other parts needed apart from calipers, carriers, discs and pads.?

    Cheers.

they do make some difference, they dont expand under braking pressure and can give a firmer feel to the pedall

Yeah my wheels are big enough, 19inch VXr multispokes, current brakes look minature behind them. Going to clean them up and repaint in blue and then will be getting fitted.

I've used HEL. Great hoses, made to order and loads of colours. Cheaper than Goodridge too. Just make sure whatever hoses you go for, they have 12mm banjos. HEL and goodridge have made up wrong sized hoses in the past.

got braided hoes on my bike, as said it makes them feel firmmer as the rubber ones expand when u press the brakes, and just for ure info they fit under the 16" space saver wheel too as i dont think the 345's do.

speaking of these i need to get a set for the wife's car now. I have had her 314s sat around the garage for 9 months and i think its about time i fitted them but with new Goodridge hoses. I know people have there own preferences but i figure if Goodridge hoses are what was used Thrust 2 and now the Bloodhound SSC car they are certainly good enough for mine.. HEL are also a British company and funnily enough also based in Exeter but for now Goodridge will remain my supplier.
