Vehicle : Saab 9-3 (Vectra C in disguise)

Default Dropping Front Tyre size from 215/55/16 to 205/55/16

So given that one of my front tyres is getting a bit low on the old tread (grip in the snow is nearly nil)
Figured might as well swap both front tyres as the other is about half worn
Car came with 215/55/16 fitted, but considering fitting 205/55/16 as better range of tyres and at least £16 cheaper per tyre for identical tyres (sometimes a lot more)
Will this cause any major handling issues?
    Thoughts?

I beleive some of the earlier Vectras had 205/55/16, there are two categories for speedo readings in the computer. If your car had standard 215/55/16 then it will be a category 2, you may need to change to a category 1 to keep speedo accurate.

    Try this company for tyres.

It should not be a problem, the two tyre sizes are in the Owners Manual I have. I have also run both sizes, at different times, without any problems.

Actually I did look there first, considering Avon Ice Touring ST tyres and just leaving them on all year long, mileage I do isn't scary, but I live at a reasonable altitude so snow isn't exactly uncommon in the winter (well this year has been overly common)

I fitted a full set Continental TS830's and left them on over summer on my last Vectra.
They are supposed to wear out more quickly in hot weather and not stop the car as good as summer tyres in hot weather, but I didnt notice any difference.
I now have 2 sets of wheels for my current Vectra (16" wheels are usually cheaper on ebay cos' everyone wants 17" wheels) and bought part worn TS830's which are currently fitted.
