What size of wheel fit into tourer spare wheel well?

My tourer didn't come with a spare wheel, just one of these pain in the arse goo and compressor kits! So I'm looking to buy a new wheel to use for a spare, I looked in the well this am and tbh it looks quite small??

I have the 19's fitted, so I was looking to buy a 5th VX- line alloy, but will this fit? I suppose I could go take one off and try it but thought I would ask first.. Haha

Steve, i don't think any of the Insignia range has a spare wheel as standard, just the inflator and tyre weld. A spare wheel fits in the well but it sticks up higher than the boot floor level. I know some VXR owners have a full size spare 20" but they say it sticks up 4" (ish) higher.

Hmm, might just buy a Steel one then, we need the extra space due to dog now so cannot have a speed bump in the boot floor haha

You can get full size spare as said but sticks up bu t there is a bit you can buy to raise it completly I know members on here have done it

The earlier ones had a space saver as standard, and I believe you can buy a floor kit from vx so you will have a flat floor once again matey

There is a false floor in my car which I assume is a storage area, then under that there is the carpet you lift to get access to the spare wheel area..is this normal in the tourer then? Ha..

Yeah mate my mums tourer is the same has a little storage tray under the boot floor and also sadly no spare wheel either just the daft inflation kit

Sorry to drag up an old thread but........

Does anyone know the part number/or could find out the P/N for the bit to raise the floor for a full sized spare in the estate?

The reason I ask is my brother had a right mare with his Insignia yesterday (split sidewall) he's only had it a month and only has the crap tyre foam/compressor. Big brother to the rescue but without a spare we were stuck on M25 eventually got recovered (10pm) but nowhere able to replace tyre at that time of night.

Therefore looking to fit a full sized spare to save it all potentially happening again.
