Seems like CV joint gone. And the price Vauxhall are looking ffs

Well pulled out from Sunnyside street on to the busy Ormeau Road yesterday evening on the way home as usual. Planted the car while turnning right at the same time with the wheels trying to get grip (spining/jumping) and I seem to have damaged the CV joint. Going by that it knocks badly when turning now on the pasenger side.
So anyway I priced two Vauxhall dealers, both £209 +vat £156+vat with my service club card discount. EuroCar parts £28+vat.

Thats some difference. Well the soonest I can get it looked at is Wednesday so I'll be using Lisa's 206 until then.

You might be better buying the genuine part as cheaper CV joints dont seem to last on vectra's, Especially lowered ones.

Will I go through 5 in 3 years?

You'll probably go through 5 in less than a year, Yes they are that bad! Same goes for wheel bearings on the vec-c

There are a few theads on here about cheap CV joints (and wheel bearings) on here, but i doubt i'll be able to find them.

If money is a big issue, what about a second hand driveshaft?
