    Hi mate. I can't think why I wouldn't want to use the Vx kit myself. I don't think I could ever forgive myself if I fitted an aftermarket one and it failed, I would always be left wondering "what if ?" .

    Anyway, from the "right" Vx Dealer, don't forget you can probably get everything you need
    with 25% off using Masterfit Membership

    Genuine vx for me too. Got mine for £155, pump, belt and pulleys.

    When changing cam belt is there anything else that is a good idea to change apart from water pump?.

    Pulleys and tensioner, but they're in the kit anyway. Maybe the aux belt, it has to come off anyway.

    Gates power grip belt kits are pretty good most genuine belts are made by gates anyway, but check the prices first as the genuine parts can be cheaper than oe quality replacement parts.

    I will only ever fit genuine VX Belt KITS and water pumps. Seen too many issues with aftermarket versions where the pump leaks, the face isnt flat, gaskets are rubbish etc etc.

    that said of course there are going to be kits that are just as good as genuine, but I always insist on genuine for piece of mind.

    Genuine belts have the timing marks on too!
